POLYGON

A polygon is a closed shape with three or more straight sides and angles.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A POLYGON

• Closed figure
• Has at least three sides
• At least three angles
• No curved lines
• No intersecting lines

TYPES OF POLYGONS

Convex Polygon

All of its angles are less than 180°.

All of the diagonals are internal.

Concave Polygon

At least one angle measures more than 180 degree

At least one of the diagonals is outside the shape of the polygon.

Equilateral Polygon

All sides are equal.

Equiangular Polygons

All angles are equal.

Regular Polygon

They have equal angles and sides

Irregular Polygon 

They do not have equal angles and sides.
